Engineering, infrastructure, governance and the human consequences of technology. A public record with room for what worked, what did not, and what deserves a better question.
Genuine Group stories and the founder journey: connectivity that would not cooperate, infrastructure that consumed too much time, finding community and making technology work for real people.
Today we’re publishing the latest iteration of the Alt Production Group website, bringing our engineering, infrastructure, research, investigations and cultural ventures together properly for the first time.
Technical credibility does not require a faultless origin story. It requires honesty about the evidence, the limits and the lesson.
Facts, commentary and recollection
Founder accounts retain the founder’s words, humour and perspective. They describe personal experience and engineering judgement, not independently established incident findings or universal assessments of a provider. Group announcements are identified separately.
Useful lessons. Responsible boundaries.
Client permissions, personal dignity and protected research take precedence over a more dramatic story. We can explain a decision or lesson without publishing confidential implementation. Humour should illuminate the engineering—not make a person experiencing difficulty the punchline.
Corrections and publication dates
Material factual corrections should carry a visible note. Publication dates come from the publisher’s record, not a build timestamp. A story’s publication date is not necessarily the date of the events it recalls. Relative dates in a recollection do not establish an event year. The opening collection is available in full here, in the public text archive and through the dated RSS feed.
